Chapter Philanthropy and Service

Zeta Tau Alpha raises money for Breast Cancer Education and Awareness. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer at some point in their life, so ZTA fights to make the 1 in 8, NONE in 8!

Big Man On Campus (BMOC) is our annual all-male pageant that consists of social media wars, tabling, and lots of fundraising for Breast Cancer Education and Awareness. BMOC is seen as an event that unifies all organizations on campus, as each nominates a male contestant to compete for the title of “Big Man On Campus.” This year, we had a record 40+ on-campus organizations join us in our fight against breast cancer. We continue to hold the title for the largest philanthropic event on campus, and we strive to improve our efforts year after year. We raised over $200,000—making us the highest donating Zeta Tau Alpha chapter in the nation and the second highest fundraising chapter overall.

Not only do we spread awareness on campus, but ZTA is partnered with the NFL, allowing us to reach a larger audience. Zeta Tau Alpha alumni and collegiate members have worked with 23 of the 32 National Football League teams to increase awareness of breast cancer at professional football games.

Our other partnerships include the American Cancer Society and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Clemson ZTA is honored to be the only Greek organization on campus to partner with the Clemson Athletic Department.  Members of our chapter partner with the athletic department to co-host pink-out games to increase breast cancer awareness in the community and spread our message.

Furthermore, we host Think Pink Week which is a week-long campus initiative dedicated to raising awareness and promoting education about breast cancer. Throughout the week, we host a variety of events including tabling, giveaways, interactive activities, and collaborations with campus organizations to engage the community and spread Zeta Tau Alpha’s message of breast cancer education and awareness. It’s one of our most impactful outreach efforts, helping us connect with students, faculty, and the broader Clemson community. From handing out pink ribbons to sharing vital health information, Think Pink Week empowers individuals to take action and honor those affected by breast cancer.

In the spring we also host a Survivor’s Brunch! It’s an event filled with gratitude, reflection, and celebration—bringing together sisters, survivors, and supporters to acknowledge the meaningful work we've done and the lives we’ve touched.
