Involvement

The members of Zeta Tau Alpha here at Clemson University are heavily involved on our campus. As a whole, our chapter participates in many university and Panhellenic-sponsored events such as Homecoming, Greek Week, and First Friday. Individually, 100% of the Kappa Zeta Chapter participates in an on-campus involvement, whether that be an organization, club, or athletics team. Not only can our members be found cheering on our Clemson Tigers in the stands of every football game in Death Valley, but they are also involved in and hold leadership positions in Student Government, Tour Guides, Study Abroad Offices, Intramural Sports, Greek Programming Board, Freshman Council, and many more!

Mare d'Entremont, PC '20, is a reporter for the Clemson Insider and can often be seen on the sidelines at Clemson basketball games, in the press box of baseball games, and interviewing players after the football games.

Our chapter has a long and proud history of winning awards and special recognition for our accomplishments.  Whether the awards are presented to us by Clemson University or ZTA Nationals, our achievements and dedication to our sorority and to our university do not go unnoticed.  At the annual South Carolina ZTA Day, our chapter has won the Most Outstanding Chapter Award multiple times. At the 2018 Zeta Day, our chapter was presented the Martha C. Edens Foundation Award, the Cass Elias McCarter Academic Achievement Award, the Quota/Total Award, and the Crown Chapter Award. The Crown Chapter Award is a tremendous honor and it means that our chapter, Kappa Zeta is recognized by National Council for Excellence in five areas: Activities, Finance, Fraternity Operations, Membership, and Programming. Additionally, we were recognized for our academic achievements through the presentation of a Highly Commendable GPA award.

Another highly regarded honor that has been presented to a sister of Zeta Tau Alpha last year is Miss Clemson University. Miss Clemson University 2022 is Davis Wash, a member of PC '19. Davis competed alongside a member of every Clemson sorority and various organizations on campus, while participating in an interview, talent, evening gown, and on-stage question portion of the pageant. Davis used her reign to give back to the Clemson community and use her voice to bring awareness to many philanthropies and organizations that are close to her heart.

ZTA also supports the philanthropies of the other Greek organizations on campus.  You'll always find ZTA participating in events such as Chi Omega's Wings For Wishes, Alpha Tau Omega Viking Week, Alpha Sigma Phi Deck the Halls, Pi Kappa Alpha Fireman's Challenge, Beta Lei, & many many more!
